What is Post & Gate?
Post & Gate is a marriage ministry founded on Christian principles inside the pattern of covenant marriage between one man and one woman. Built by Caleb and Carla Nelson from 27+ years of lived experience — not theory.
Who are Caleb and Carla Nelson?
Caleb and Carla Nelson are the founders of Post & Gate and authors of It's Not What You Think and Built for Marriage. Caleb is a 30-year first responder, fire chaplain, keynote speaker, and certified forgiveness coach. Carla is a cancer overcomer, certified forgiveness coach, and published author. Together they have been married 27+ years, raised five children, built businesses, and led small groups from their home since 1999.

Post & Gate is for couples who are ready to build a marriage with intention — not just maintain one. The name comes directly from Deuteronomy 6:9 — “Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Post & Gate is a call to put the Word on display inside the home — not as decoration, but as the operating system of the household.
